Teacher Appreciation Daffodils
First Monday in May
We provide flowers for GCS students to give to their teachers during Teacher Appreciate Week. This gesture encourages Georgetown learners to show their appreciation for the to the incredible educators our town is lucky to have in our school.
Each May, we put the call out to local gardeners for donations of daffodils along with volunteers to pass out flowers to the elementary students arriving at school. They give their teachers these flowers.
This beautiful tradition fosters gratitude in the Georgetown learners while acknowledging the incredible education the faculty of GCS gives our youngest learners.
GET INVOLVED:
Grow extra daffodils for GIEF. Donations of flowers are gathered the first Sunday of May. Reach out for details (contact form link).
Volunteer: Help pass out flowers to students before school starts. It’s the best 15 minutes all year. Reach out for details.
